Revoke or rotate an API key

Rotating keys periodically is good hygiene. Here is the clean order of operations.

Revoke (remove access)

  1. Delete the key on the exchange (API management page) — access ends within seconds
  2. Remove the entry in Dashboard → API Keys to keep your list tidy

Rotate (replace with a fresh key)

  1. Create a new trade-only key on the exchange (see the guide for your exchange)
  2. Add it in the dashboard and wait for the automatic verification check
  3. Only then delete the old key on the exchange and remove its dashboard entry

Open positions are not affected by key rotation — SL/TP orders already live on the exchange itself.
