Connect your exchange

AlgoVesta trades on YOUR own exchange account — it never holds your money. To do that it needs an API key: a special access code that can place trades but CANNOT withdraw your funds. No exchange account yet, or not ready? No problem — finish this wizard in Paper mode now and connect a real exchange later.

How to get an API key (≈2 min):
1. Open the API Keys page and pick your exchange.
2. On the exchange, create a new API key with Trade permission only.
3. Leave Withdraw turned OFF — AlgoVesta never needs it.
4. Paste the key into AlgoVesta. That's it.

Choose your mode

Real mode sends live orders to your exchange using real money. Paper mode simulates every trade with a virtual $5,000 balance — no real money, zero risk. New to this? Start with Paper to watch how the bot behaves, then switch to Real once you trust your strategy.

Get your webhook URL

This webhook URL is your bot's private inbox address. When your TradingView alert fires, it delivers a message to this address and AlgoVesta acts on it instantly. Treat it like a password — anyone who has it can send signals to your account. Copy it now; you will paste it into TradingView in step 5.

Design your signal message

When an alert fires, TradingView sends a short text "message" telling the bot exactly what to do — which symbol, buy or sell, and your TP/SL. You don't write any code: choose your options below and we generate the exact message. Then copy it with one tap.

Create the alert in TradingView

Now connect the two pieces. Open TradingView (app or website) on the chart you want to automate, create an alert, and paste in the message and URL you just prepared. Follow these 5 steps exactly:

Click the alarm-clock icon → Create Alert
Pick your indicator/strategy as the Condition
Set trigger to Once Per Bar Close
In Message, paste the JSON from step 4
In Notifications, enable Webhook URL and paste your URL from step 3 → Create

Important — most "it doesn't work" cases come from these

TradingView's free plan does NOT send webhooks — Essential plan or higher is required.
Use "Once Per Bar Close" — intra-bar triggers can repaint and spam duplicate signals.
TradingView webhooks can be delayed 2–60 seconds on their side; this is normal and outside any platform's control.

Test & go live
